Instructional Designer
Summary
The Instructional Designer serves as an education and Instructional Designer and is responsible for the creation and delivery of comprehensive educational content designed to train both platform end-users and internal staff. This position is a hands-on role and is responsible for the tactical completion of projects, teachings, and curriculum. This person will coordinate with the Associate Manager of Learning Services to ensure projects remain prioritized, on schedule and are updated in conjunction with product updates. This is not an all-inclusive list and other tasks can/will be assigned as necessary.
What you’ll do
- Be an individual contributor.
- Be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of client and employee training programs, documentation, and demo modules through various channels across the business.
- Conduct customer and employee training using a variety of delivery methods including, but not limited to training videos, eLearning courses, written content, and teleconference sessions.
- Participate in activities designed to manage, develop and track the performance of Learning and Development activities.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME) and other necessary persons to create the development and delivery of online course content.
- Ensure flexibility and reusability of training and documentation.
- Edit instructional materials for grammar, clarity, consistency, and accuracy of the content.
- Remain up to date on technology directions, initiatives, and trends in instructional design to provide ideas, guidance, and recommendations.
- Cultivate strong relationships with departments to generate a deep understanding of business demands facilitating partnerships that enable successful learning outcomes.

What you’ll need
- Demonstrated experience developing training videos using video editing software.
- Experience using Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud suite, and administering an LMS is strongly preferred.
- BA/BS degree in related field required and/or3+ years of adult training or teaching experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing e-Learning courses and assessments.
- Demonstrate outstanding technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Be an engaging, confident public speaker, particularly in an instructional setting.
- Excellent decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work efficiently in a time-sensitive environment, both as part of a team and independently.
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning methodologies and how to apply those in growing and fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work, with a strong focus on internal/external customer satisfaction.
- Ability to demonstrate and articulate creative thinking and a willingness to implement new approaches.
- Maintain composure in critical situations and communicate well with both internal and external clients.
