As a Learning & Development Specialist, it is anticipated you will act as a high-level leader and example of one who is passionate about cultivating a practice and culture of learning, growth, and curiosity at O.C. Tanner. This position reports to the Manager, Learning & Development within our People & Great Work (Human Resources) Team.
Hybrid Work Schedule-Monday thru Wednesday in office, Thursday & Friday option from home.

- Develop and design course content and identify improvements
- Solicit and incorporate audience/learner feedback into trainings to improve content
- Conduct and facilitate learning discussions, book clubs, round tables, etc.
- Conduct needs analyses and collect L&D data to identify priorities, produce meaningful insights, and assess the ROI of L&D programs/trainings
- Recommend changes or additions to L&D offerings, vendors, systems, tools, or methodologies
- Strengthen relationships throughout the organization; work with SMEs and leaders to develop trainings/programs
- Contribute to and develop L&D intranet site for a better UX and flow of communication with developing expertise in communication styles, modes, and strategies
- Contribute and help form L&D strategy and appropriate OKR's for each quarter
- Manage L&D programs while effectively prioritizing work within company need
- Collaborate closely with global counterparts
- Demonstrate knowledge of O.C. Tanner Processes, Principles and Strategy
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Educational and Experience Preferences
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Teaching, training, presenting, and public speaking experience
Skills and Capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in instructional design tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.
- Advanced use of MS Office suite including Sharepoint, Teams, & Power Automate
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe suite including Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, & Photoshop.
- Experience with different LMS e.g. Bridge, MyDevelopment, etc.
- Knowledge of basic design theory and ability to design on brand content
- Effective application of coaching methodologies, the Socratic method, and common leadership theories e.g. Situational Leadership, Servant Leadership, Authentic Leadership
- Ability to learn and apply new tools, systems or processes and/or develop training content around them
- Effective application of change management techniques & project management
- Skilled presenter and facilitator
- Skilled at giving/receiving feedback at all levels
- Proficient at coaching leaders and influencing change in the organization
- Ability to learn additional instructional design tools as required
