We have an exciting opportunity as a Logistics Development Specialist in our Engineering Services group located in Kaysville, UT and Oklahoma City, OK. This position is responsible for participating in the planning and administration of integrated logistics strategies, processes, manufacturing specifications, and tools.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize OPUS to optimize spare parts inventory quantities, determine repair versus condemned maintenance support for material, and what levels of repair result in the lowest life cycle cost of system and/or line replaceable unit.
- Collect data necessary to support Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements through review of technical data including engineering drawings and specifications, as well as through communication with technical SMEs from within the company, various suppliers, and the customer.
- Determine Logistics Support Analysis data resulting from various data collection and analysis activities and input data in a Logistic Product Data (LPD) database.
- Review customer and company specific requirement documents as the basis for establishing the supportability requirements for specific equipment/systems.
- Determining the Product Support Analysis technical studies that are appropriate given the defined program scope and product life cycle phase.
- Product Support Analysis methods may include, but are not limited to Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance and Task Analysis, Personnel and Manpower Requirements Analysis, Support and Test Equipment Requirements Analysis, Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) Analysis, Support Alternative Trade Analysis, Spares Analysis, developing Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD), and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) Estimating.
- Develop work instructions based on drawing and other technical data available from engineering.
- Perform Product Support Analysis technical studies through application of standard processes, analytical methods, and tools as appropriate for a specific program.
- Generate reports and briefings that summarize the results of technical studies and provide results to both the internal and external customers through written reports and verbal presentations.
- Generate deliverable work products in accordance with customer requirements.
- Support other Integrated Product Support activities (e.g. technical publications) as required.

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and three or more years of progressive logistics management experience. Equivalent applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- Utilized OPUS database tool to forecast spare parts quantities and maintenance levels.
- Ability to understand Aviation and Aerospace technical data to include wiring diagrams.
- Background in aviation/equipment maintenance.
- Experience with reading and understanding technical data (e.g., Technical Orders, Engineering Drawings, parts lists, Bills of Material, Engineering Specifications, etc.) and detailed knowledge of aircraft sustainment data systems and processes to include maintenance data collection systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft © PowerPoint.
- Experience with Depot, Intermediate, or Organizational level maintenance on Aircraft and/or Wholesale Supply support.
- Experience with databases to include SLICWave.
- Prior experience generating Logistics Support Analysis Records (LSAR)
- Experience in developing work process specifications.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance is required.
