Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Specialist with a knack for development to join our team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for managing and analyzing data using SQL and Snowflake, as well as utilizing your Development Skills to enhance data workflows and processes. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in building insightful and visually appealing reports in Tableau for various stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Data Management: Utilize SQL and Snowflake to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Data Analysis: Analyze complex datasets to derive actionable insights and provide recommendations to improve business processes and decision-making.
• Development: Develop and maintain scripts, queries, and automation tools to streamline data workflows and enhance data processing efficiency.
• Report Development: Design and build interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards in Tableau to effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders.
• Data Visualization: Leverage Tableau's features and functionalities to create dynamic and interactive data visualizations that facilitate understanding and exploration of data trends.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Documentation: Document data processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain data governance standards.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies related to data management, analysis, and visualization to drive innovation and improve processes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL with experience in querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Strong understanding of Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehouse platforms.
• Experience in software development with proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript).
• Deep understanding of data visualization principles and experience building reports and dashboards in Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience in a data-focused role with exposure to development tasks is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Windows Server VM management.
