A fast-growth business consulting firm in Provo, Utah, is seeking ambitious and results-focused M&A Business Development Specialist/Analyst focusing on deals to play critical roles in taking their acquisition strategy to new heights.
- Salary Range: $130 - $150K + performance-based bonus
- Location: Provo, Utah (work 4 days in the office + 1 day from home each week)
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Proactively identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of warm-lead potential acquisitions, presenting findings to the M&A team for strategic decision-making.
- Cultivate strong relationships with potential acquisition prospects, articulating our unique value proposition and long-term investment philosophy.
- Employ innovative strategies to engage with key decision-makers, overcoming barriers to establish meaningful connections.
- Facilitate the early stages of the M&A process, including negotiation of NDAs, collection of operational data, and commencement of discussions.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Business Development function through meticulous analysis, strategic coverage assessment, and facilitating continuous communication within the team.
- Initiate and lead prospecting campaigns, utilizing various channels such as email outreach, outbound calling, and participation in industry events.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven track record of success in M&A sourcing, referral analysis, and sales.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives and financial experts through multiple channels and venues.
- Strong analytical capabilities, complemented by excellent organizational skills.
- A proactive, results-driven approach, with a demonstrated ability to work flexibly as required.
- Effective relationship-building skills, adaptable to various personalities, with a persuasive and engaging presentation style.
- A self-starter mindset, enthusiastic about overcoming challenges and delivering results.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Preferred: Healthcare industry experience.
