Inside Sales And Supply Chain Specialist

POSITION PURPOSE

The Inside Sales and Supply Chain Specialist will analyze Supply Chain flow and inventory to determine replenishment requirements and enter orders in SAP accordingly, and also monitor material flow, shipments, and invoice customers. This role requires regular onsite presence at the Detroit, Michigan facility.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

• Analyze Supply Chain to determine replenishment requirements.
• Understand Start of Production/End of Production and buying patterns of customers in collaboration with Regional Sales Managers
• Make decisions for product ordering for optimal stock levels.
• Enter Mill Orders in SAP
• Quote Customer spot buy requests.
• Identify options available for sale and draft quote to customers in support of Regional Sales Managers
• Serve as a backup to the Supply Chain Manager and key Subject Matter Expert in E2Open Supply Chain System.
• Follow up orders placed on the mill for On-Time-Delivery
• Expedite material within mill planning system where necessary.
• Answer and investigate all customer inquiries.
• Material status, invoice status, etc.
• Submit claims in both SAP and Americas CCC system.
• Provide credit notes to customers where applicable.
• Onsite Office presence required.
• Regular and reliable attendance

INCUMBENT ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

This position will have no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required

• Bachelor's Degree 
• Minimum of 5 years Inside Sales and Supply Chain experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills including knowledge in: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Ability to work and contribute in a team environment.
• Knowledge of customer base.
• Automotive Experience.

Preferred

• MBA or equivalent Master's Degree.
• Strong product knowledge and capabilities of SSAB Automotive and Flat Roll products
• Experience in working in an SAP or similar claims system.
