Please Note: We are looking for highly qualified candidates to work on a critical project for a customer facing role. Hence require excellent technical as well as interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently is a must. Excellent technical competence (5G, SW, HW Feature testing / TOL execution, Troubleshooting, knowledge of performance KPIs / RF). Demonstrated excellence in communications as the candidate will interact with the team, project manager, and customer and other stakeholders.

Overview of the role:

As a Feature Test Engineer, you will work in Client radio lab and gain familiarity with the Client radio products (SW and HW) through product testing, as well as with the Client product acceptance process for our large customers in North America. You will be exposed to the latest radio products that will be rolled out in our biggest customers networks. The goal is to validate the functionality of the latest Radio Products and to find and correct as many faults as possible, prior to rolling out the product network wide. As part of your work, you will be interacting with various Client organizations such as development unit, customer units, but also directly with the customers.

You may also be asked to work on automation projects that strive to improve and accelerate the testing process.

What you will do (specifics)

· Study the functionality, analyze requirements and specifications in order to craft and document test cases

· Complete testing and record test case results

· Solve, document and track defects

· Analyze test results and produce feature test reports

· Perform lab and field configuration related to feature testing

· Prepare and present progress reports

· Drive and participate in knowledge sharing activities

· Lead test activities and mentor new team members

· Collect and document customer requirements

· Assist in the development of a service proposal

· Identify add-on sales opportunities

You will bring

Technical knowledge:

· 10+ years of experience in Telecom Industry, ideally in Radio Domain

· Knowledge of Radio access technologies (LTE, NR)

· Experience in testing different features including 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave, LAA (License Assisted Access), 4G LTE, IOT, CBRS and/or multi-vendor.

· Background in communications theory and digital signal processing

· Linux knowledge

· Data analysis knowledge

· Coding and scripting skills. Languages include: Java, C, C++

· Good to have: Python and/or R scripting languages

· Good to have: Database access scripting (e.g. SQL)

· Good to have: Machine Learning

Academic background:

· Bachelor or Master’s Degree, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Network Test Engineer: 8 years (Preferred)
• testing with 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave: 5 years (Preferred)
• Testig with (License Assisted Access), 4G LTE, IOT, CBRS: 5 years (Preferred)
• Telecom Industry: 10 years (Preferred)
• Radio Products: 5 years (Preferred)
