Job Summary

Assist in the achievement of and act in support of the sales, deployment and implementation of Hanover Displays Destination Signs, Wayside signs, On-Board technology, and all other potential products in the transit market in North America.

Technology and Business Development Department

This is a full-time, salary exempt position. This position can be located at corporate headquarters in North America or remote.

Reporting Relationships:

The System Engineer reports directly to the VP of Technology and Business Development.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The System Engineer performs duties as directed by the VP of Technology and Business Development.

· Will support the deployment of Hanover Hardware and Software solutions within North America.

· Will be required to problem-solve and collaborate with members of our team in the US, Canada, and the UK.

· Will have the opportunity to manage projects with oversight from the VP of Technology.

· Will work with the Transit agencies, System Integrators, and Original Equipment Manufacturers for system integration.

· Will physically work on vehicle systems at customer locations.

· Able to work flexible hours based on customer needs and availability.

· Works closely with the engineering, sales, service, and technical support team.

· Will provide support to the field service team when technical expertise is required.

· Will be required to provide trip reports and integration information as needed.

· Will keep good records and document integration information as required.

· Will submit internal work orders (IWO) and return material authorization (RMA) as needed.

· Assists with Expos and Conferences – Ensure equipment is functional.

· Maintains expense reports.

· Updates Calendar

· Participates in weekly meetings.

· Travel will be required up to 50%.

• Report any observed or known safety hazards, conditions, or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Skill Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred or field experience related to products and services being sold.

· Two to four years of related experience.

· Expertise in IOT and Networking.

· Solid understanding of integrated systems and communication protocols. (RS232, RS485, J1708, J1939, Ethernet stack)

· Comfortable programming in Python, and or other languages.

· Comfortable with the wiring of low-voltage systems.

· Ability to read system layout drawings.

· MS Excel (pivot tables), Word, PPT, and Outlook experience.

· Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and One Drive.

· Project management skills and experience. Or desire to do so.

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Strong business judgment.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Ability to learn new Hanover Products and Software.

· Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadline.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Located near a major airport if working remotely.

Working Remote:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
