Immigration Attorney (Hybrid)

Description:

Our firm is seeking to add an Immigration Attorney who is experienced in matters before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). Most of the work will involve client representation before EOIR. The candidate must also be fluent in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct consultations regarding family-based petitions, removal defense and other matters before USCIS and EOIR.
• Prepare and draft legal documents to be submitted to USCIS and EOIR.
• Review immigration petitions to be submitted to USCIS and EOIR.
• Represent clients before EOIR in master and individual hearings.
• Represent clients before USCIS in matters regarding adjustment of status and naturalization.
• Communicate with clients, other attorneys, and government agencies.
• Independently manage assigned caseload.

Salary will be dependent on experience. The preferred candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in immigration law and removal defense.
Requirements:

• J.D. from and ABA accredited institution;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in immigration law;
• Be an active member and in good standing of any state bar, including Puerto Rico;
• Fluency in English and Spanish;
• Have strong legal research and writing skills;
• Have a strong work ethic; and
• Be a team player.
