Our Client have an opening for a Coordinator, Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in their New York Office.
The Coordinator, Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will play a pivotal role in supporting the firm’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Working as part of the DEI team and closely with various stakeholders, the coordinator will assist in the implementation and coordination of programs and activities designed to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
In this capacity, the Coordinator, Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will:
- Coordinate third-party and client surveys, working with Marketing, Business Development, HRIS and Finance teams. Support data collection efforts related to diversity metrics, employee surveys, and other relevant data sources. Assist in analyzing data and preparing reports to track progress towards DEI goals and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide support to employee affinity networks focused on diversity, equity and inclusion. Support levels of engagement through meetings, events, and activities for PHANs, and serve as a liaison between PHAN members and DEI leadership.
- Assist in the development and dissemination of communications materials related to DEI initiatives, including newsletters, announcements, and promotional materials. Help manage DEI-related content on the firm's website, intranet, and social media platforms.
- Support the DE&I function with budget management and expense tracking.
- Assist in the development and delivery of DEI training programs and educational resources for employees at all levels of the organization. This may include coordinating training sessions, compiling materials, and tracking participation.
- Assist in reviewing and updating DEI policies, procedures, and practices to ensure alignment with best practices and legal requirements. Help develop resources and guidelines to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the firm's operations.
- Assist in planning and coordinating DEI events, workshops, training sessions, and other activities. This includes securing venues, coordinating speakers and presenters, managing registrations, and ensuring a seamless experience for participants.
- Provide administrative support to the DEI team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating logistics for events and activities. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to DEI initiatives; and
- Travel and perform additional duties as needed.

- Ability to work with varying levels of attorneys and business professionals in a fast paced, multifaceted department.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced proficiency in online research and internet resources; and
- Advanced proficiency in English language, including punctuation, spelling, grammar and writing skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (required); and
- 2+ years of diversity experience in a corporate setting (professional services or legal environment preferred).
