Position Purpose: This position is responsible for the daily functions of MHR’s human resource department, including recruiting/retention, employee relations, performance management/improvement, compliance, communications support, new employee orientation, personnel files, job posting & advertisement, HR database reporting, and support to the Human Resource Department.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle data collection for compliance-related reports (i.e., affirmative Action Plan (AAP), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Department of Labor (DOL), and Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP).
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Recommend, develop, and maintain human resource databases and manual filing systems.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute the performance evaluation process.
- Monitor quality and timeliness of performance evaluations; provide supervisor feedback and coaching as needed.
- Promote and market the compensation and benefits plans to employees.
- Process employment, unemployment verifications, and administration.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute compensation changes and wage change notifications.
- Train staff on employee handbook policies; assist supervisor in interpreting and applying policies in specific situations.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- In conjunction with HR management, support and facilitate ongoing communications between leadership and employees related to all aspects of the employment relationship.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Process terminations and offboarding process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources,Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
