Helix is an innovative, fast-paced human service agency in Minnesota working to eliminate barriers in accessing mental health, chemical health, and housing services for people throughout Minnesota that are under-served. POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, benefits administration, and HR compliance. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the HR department, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting the company's overall goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or conflicts and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Promote a positive work culture through communication, recognition programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Training and Development:
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions on various topics, including compliance, diversity and inclusion, and professional development.
- Identify skill gaps within the organization and develop training programs to address them.
- Assist employees with career development opportunities and succession planning.
- Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Educate employees on benefit options, eligibility requirements, and enrollment procedures.
- Collaborate with benefits providers to resolve issues and ensure timely processing of claims.
- HR Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Ensure company policies and procedures comply with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct audits and assessments to monitor HR compliance and implement corrective actions as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,160.00 - $68,640.00 per year
