illumifin is a leading provider of business process outsourcing for the nation's largest insurers.

This position will play a critical role providing assistance in the areas of benefits, recruiting, training, employee relations, policy interpretation and administration. In addition, you will advise and give support to leaders regarding various human resource situations. The Senior HR Generalist role will include coordination between the business groups, alignment of compensation, recruiting and HR functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides advice, support, training, and direction to business leaders regarding employee issues/situations, company policies, and courses of action
  • Performs broad and varied work in a generalist capacity involving all aspects of human resources programs
  • Supports a large segment of the organization in the application and use of human resources programs and policies
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement in the functioning of assigned departments through human resources programs, policies and procedures
  • Provides project leadership and support and remains current on laws and regulations effecting employment practices
  • Works as a business expert identifying opportunities to partner with employees to support the organization's business goals and objectives
  • Performs necessary duties to assist with recruitment initiatives
  • Facilitates HR orientation sessions for all new employees in assigned business units
  • Engages in the leave management process with employees, leaders, internal HR leave administrator and our leave management vendor
  • Delivers internally created employee programs to leaders including, but not limited to: quarterly training programs, company policy updates, employee recognition programs, etc.
  • Leads company-wide initiative projects. Examples include annual performance review process, reviewing and updating job descriptions, annual OSHA reporting, HR representative for all audits, etc.
  • Acts as team expert in HR-related topics such as FMLA, internal investigations, ADAAA, FLSA, etc.
  • Processes and manages all workers' compensation claims. Files the First Report of Injury and works closely with the insurance company regarding any claim questions or issues
  • Mentors other HR Generalists on the team
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • BS/BA required in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 7+ years of directly related experience in most phases of human resources including employee relations, employment, investigations and all applicable laws and regulations
  • Possesses a broad knowledge in the human resources field
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior leaders and executives
  • Ability to effectively lead large projects to completion
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a context of ongoing transition
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
