Job Overview:
The Human Resources Generalist is a full-time position responsible for supporting the HR and HR operations. This position will be responsible for researching, developing or improving systems for onboarding staff, maintaining employee records and managing benefits.

Supervises: N/A
Key Responsibilities & Requirements: In-person salary role
Primary Duties:
v Coordinate new employee hiring processes, which includes (assisting Sanneh supervisors with the development of position description, advertising the position, compiling and collecting applicants’ materials, helping Sanneh supervisors to schedule applicant interviews, assisting Sanneh supervisor with developing a list of finalist(s), prepare employment offer letter, establish new hire’s start date, lead new employ orientation, and assist Sanneh supervisor with on-boarding new employees).
v Maintain and update periodic review of all Sanneh staff position description.
v Assist Sanneh supervisors with the development of Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
v Manage Sanneh payroll and compliance initiative such as EEO and Safety protocols.
v Maintain appropriate record retention for Human Resources and payroll related paperwork.
v Assisting with creation and implementation of training manuals, HR manual, employee handbook.
v Assist with updating Sanneh policy manual.
v Conduct exit interviews of Sanneh team.
v Research and implement a timekeeping system for multiple categories of Sanneh team such as interns, third party community partners’ employees at Sanneh, Sanneh contracted staff, off-site Sanneh staff, and all other Sanneh staff.
v Assist with general clerical functions such as inventory processes, purchasing, data management/entry, record keeping, phones, scheduling, copying, faxing, etc.
v Assist with organization events and fundraisers.
v Assist with special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
v Minimum of two years of work experience as a Human Resources Generalist or Human Resources Specialist.
v Familiarity with Human Resources operation in a non-profit setting.
v Documented project Management Skills.
v Experience working with diverse populations.
v Excellent written and oral communication skills.
v Motivated self-starter, problem solver, results-driven, solution focused and creative.
v Strong organizational, accuracy and attention to detail skills.
v Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
v Ability to utilize complete discretion while handling confidential and sensitive information.
v Proficient in using Microsoft suit, Google suit, and other software platforms (such as ADP).

Physical Requirements:
v Sitting at desk or computer up to 8 hours per day
v Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. VISION: See in the normal visual range with or without correction. HEARING: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
