- Monitors, audits and reports on key metrics and functions on an on-going basis by working within HR systems
- Assists local HR team and Dal-Tile HR function by coordinating critical processes and programs (hiring, wellness initiatives, Safety function support, AAP, succession planning, performance management, postings, etc)
- Supports defined functional areas within HR in all areas of administrative services and special projects as needed.
- Researches confidential employee data and runs reports as needed.
- Codes invoices and processes for payment as required for defined areas of support. Researches questionable invoices as necessary.
- Provides basic administrative support, i.e. maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, arranging travel, auditing expense reports, ordering supplies/catering, answering phones, opening & distributing mail, drafting communications and presentations, etc.
- Maintains compliance in areas of responsibility (hiring, SOX audits, immigration, etc).
- Maintains document control of forms, policies and procedures.
- Tracks all departmental expenses for budgetary purposes.
- Drives continuous improvement in area of responsibility by streamlining or automating processes, communication, training, etc.
- Assists in maintaining and distributing all new hire orientation packets. Serves as back-up for HQ New hire orientation.
- Keeps supervisor informed of work in progress and any problem areas.
- Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Experience and Knowledge Required
- High School diploma or equivalent experience, degree preferred. Knowledge of HR practices and processes preferred.
- 5 or more years of administrative experience; preferably in an HR department.

- Excellent customer service skills. Strong computer skills in spreadsheets, charts, and word-processing. Strong oral and written communication skills. Basic math skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Confidentiality a must.
