Reports To: HR Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Full Time
- Works in partnership with HR Director to identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies.
- Coordinate the hiring process from start to finish utilizing Applicant Tracking System by posting, maintaining, and managing multiple job boards.
- Conduct candidate phone screen as needed.
- Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the minimum qualifications.
- Checks candidate’s references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.
- Conduct onboarding meetings with new hires on a weekly basis or as needed.
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- Attend job fairs and career events as needed.
- Stay up to date with current recruitment methods.
- Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
- Serves as a knowledgeable resource to employees and management on the basic interpretation of HR processes, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Oversee document control and retention systems and processes to maintain data privacy and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements and regulations.
- Provide administrative support for the effective operation of the HR Department, respond to incoming communications in an efficient and organized manner; directly handle routine communications and inquiries such as employment and wage verifications.
- Maintain the organization of files for all employees.
- Assist with annual open enrollment process, providing first line answers to benefit related questions.
- Assist with employee relations issues, escalating major issues to the Director of HR when appropriate.
- Treats staff, clients, volunteers, and the general public with courtesy and respect.
- Participates in staff meetings and or/training.
- Serve as a backup for payroll processing.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations in Human Resources.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to problem solve, research, analyze and interpret data; communicate well verbally and in writing, anticipate needs and follow through; show good judgement and strong initiative and possess a cooperative attitude.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and ATS (applicant tracking system)
- Resourceful and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Required: Possess Valid Driver’s License
- Base Salary Range: $50,000 – $63,000
- The salary offered will follow Caritas of Austin salary guidelines based on candidate's education and experience.
