- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in human resources, administration or other area pertinent to recruiting and hiring skills and two (2) years of experience in a hiring/recruiting capacity.

Under the direction of the EMS Recruitment Program Manager, the Recruitment Coordinator will be tasked with identifying and recruiting qualified applicantsfor EMS Field and EMS Communications positions for Austin-Travis County EMS. The person(s) selected for this position will be responsible for the full cycle recruitment process to include attending job fairs, collaborating closely with the EMS Ambassadors program, managing swag inventory, and community outreach. Additionally, the Recruitment Coordinator will assist with social media and marketing for recruitment purposes as need.

The Emergency Medical Services department is responsible for managing critical time-sensitive life-threatening emergencies. - Writes advertisements for newspapers, professional journals, internet websites, and other media. Provide regular releases on various social media sites in order to promote recruiting efforts.

- Develop long-term marketing plans, and conduct market research to establish where needs are.
- Develop promotional/advertising media in various formats to include videos, pamphlets, fliers, and posters.
- Coordinates hiring processes and testing/evaluation sessions, and sets up and coordinates employment interviews.
- May recommend qualified applicants to recruiting and/or executive staff.
