Job purpose
As a HR Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team members by administering and managing various Human Resource functions. This position will spend 50% of their time working on Kirby Ice House (KIH) HR duties and 50% of their time working on Morgan Group (MGI) HR related duties, under the supervision of the SVP of HR. You will be responsible for providing guidance on policy administration, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires a broad range of HR knowledge, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for helping team members. This position will also provide day-to-day support to HR for all general human resource functions on an as needed basis.
Duties and responsibilities
- Update and maintain Company Handbook for both KIH and MGI and stay abreast of labor & employment updates and regulations.
- Provide KIH Support with policy administration and adherence by providing timely and accurate responses and resolving issues.
- Record keeper/Corporate Historian for KIH. First point of contact for KIH leadership team members for assistance with policy administration and guidance when issues arise.
- Responsible for Leave Administration for KIH: oversee the administration of all FMLA leaves, short-term leaves, and other leave requests.
- Worker's Compensation for KIH: Manage all workers' compensation claims. Evaluate accident reports, reviews medical reports, witness statements, department investigation results and other documentation. Compile facts and data regarding accident reports and filed cases.
- MGI HR Collaboration: Work closely with the HR team to ensure a seamless integration of assigned duties with other HR functions, such as payroll, onboarding, and offboarding, recruiting, career fairs and various special projects as required.
- Compliance Management: Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the company's policies and benefits programs remain compliant.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR Coordinator role.
- Ideal candidate would have HR experience in the food and drinks industry.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex benefit concepts clearly.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong mental stamina and ability to operate in a deadline-driven environment where priorities often change.
