Full-Time Human ResourcesBusiness Partner
Compensation: Up to $78,000.00 per year based on experience with full benefits package and yearend bonus of up to $7,800.00.
Our client, a very successful business operating locations throughout the United States is looking for a well experienced Human Resource Business Partner to join its leadership team in Meriden, Connecticut. As the Human Resource Business Partner, you will be involved with talent onboarding, employee experience, union needs, compensation reviews, employee relations, investigations, and succession planning for your respective area. You will operate day to day as part of the leadership team and take responsibility for driving people outcomes. The successful candidate will be a doer, problem solver, team builder and effective communicator. Will have a passion for serving others and able to think both operationally and strategically.

As a Human Resource Business Partner, you will be responsible for:
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures company compliance
- Responsible for company compliance with Federal and State legislation
- Assist in the development and administration of various Human Resources plans and procedures for local personnel
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in the efficiency of local departments and services performed
- Assist in implementing department goals and objectives, and systems
- Conduct interviews, onboarding, new-employee orientations, and exit interviews
- Advise leadership in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
- A resource to employees regarding benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance
- Oversee and manage company leave of absence program (FMLA, LOA, WC, STD, LTD)
- Track all ADA requests for the organization
- Expect 10% to 15% of your time involved in local travel to neighboring facilities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications for the Human Resource Business Partner include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
- Experience with SAP – SuccessFactors preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resource experience required
- Experience presenting PowerPoint presentations and facilitating group meetings required
- Experience in a Union Environment preferred
- Strong conflict management skills.
