Webber- Accounts Payable Specialist- Finance

The Accounts Payable Specialist is to process payables for material purchased on terms for company operation. This position is responsible for accurate processing of the Region's vendor invoices from various site locations.

Job Description:

• Managing Accounts Payable using accounting software and other programs
• Handling Accounts Payable for separate entities and vendors
• Analyzing workflow processes
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Processing due invoices for payments
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience/Education:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ·
• Accounts Payable experience or relevant training or degree preferred.
• Must have experience with MS Excel and MS Word · Proficient personal computer skills including good electronic mail, 10-key, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Skills:

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
