Accounts Payable Specialist
Responsibilities:
1. Process and reconcile vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
2. Collaborate with internal departments to verify and obtain necessary approvals for invoices.
3. Manage vendor relationships by addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies in a professional and efficient manner.
4. Conduct regular reviews of Accounts Payable transactions to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures.
5. Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to Accounts Payable, contributing to accurate and timely month-end closings.
6. Work closely with the CFO to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal controls specific to substance abuse treatment services.
7. Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting information for Accounts Payable processes.
8. Monitor and track expenses to ensure they align with budgetary constraints and financial goals.
9. Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices related to Accounts Payable.
10. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Accounts Payable operations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, preferably in the healthcare or substance abuse treatment industry.
3. Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
4. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders.
7. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
8. Understanding of confidentiality and sensitivity regarding financial information in the context of substance abuse treatment.
