Human Resource Specialist-Primarily processing and maintaining leave of absences; Hourly position 7:30am-4pm Mon-Fri
Community Healthcare system is hiring a full-time Human Resource Specialist whose primary job is to process and maintain LOAs, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm at Community Hospital in Munster, IN
POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Provides clerical support to the Human Resources Director/Manager, the Human Resources Department and the Hospital. Provides professional and competent first contact to all internal and external customers. Maintains departmental systems and assists with the maintenance of the Human Resources office and its communications with all other departments/divisions. Assists with the credentialing process of hospital employees and independent contractors who provide staffing services/patient care.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma required; Associate Degree preferred. Two+ years of HR experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point).
• PHR or SPHR Certification a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive and confidential information
• Good organizational skills including flexibility and ability to manage more than one project at a time. Strong attention to detail.
• Must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to adapt to a variety of human resource issues with successful outcomes and demonstrate openness to new ideas and approaches.
