Job Location: Toyota TMMI - Princeton, IN- Gold Shift (Nights 7pm-4am)
Reports to: HR Manager w/dotted line to Facility Site Manager
Position Introduction:
We are looking for a competent Team Member Relations Specialist to undertake a variety of tasks such investigation of formal and informal complaints to help resolve workplace conflicts, addressing employee concerns, and ensuring fair treatment and compliance with labor laws and regulations. Tasks relating to team member relations. This position will also ensure that all team members follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the team member handbook and safety manual.
This role requires an excellent communicator, able to foster relationships with both team members, leadership, and the customer. Experience in investigations and conflict resolution, Team Member onboarding as well as other human resources and safety procedures is strongly desired.
The goal of this position is to ensure that the company's staffing requirements are always met, and team members work in a friendly, supportive environment.
Qualifications Desired:
At least 2 -3 years' experience as a Team Relations Specialist or Human Resources background, or equivalent experience
Experience with recruiting and staffing
Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong conflict management skills
Effective communication skills
BA/BSc or AS in Business or a related field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Position requires developing a good working relationship with team members of all levels.
Must possess a positive teamwork attitude and get along well with others.
Responsibilities:
Support the recruitment process by conducting background checks and reference checks as needed.
Support HR Manager with communication with Staffing agencies regarding current temporary employees.
Conduct employment screening & candidate interviews as necessary.
Assist HR manager with the new team member onboarding process as necessary.
Enter new team member data in HRIS /payroll system.
Complete employment eligibility verifications (I-9 and E-Verify compliance).
Assist in resolving team member conflicts, conducting team member surveys and assisting leadership with team member recognition activities.
Conduct investigations and provide conflict resolution.
Team member relations including, but not limited to interacting with team members in their environment on a regular basis, hosting focus groups, etc.
Create, maintain, and update team member personnel records, both physical and digital copies.
Interpret language in team member handbooks and enforce compliance.
Maintain HR management calendars, including scheduling interviews and meetings as necessary.
Assist in resolving any issues that arise regarding payroll and benefits, as necessary.
Process PAFs (electronic pay action forms) and perform exit interviews and stay interviews as necessary.
Monitor electronic new hire onboarding process to ensure all required payroll and compliance documents are completed in a timely manner by the new hire.
Assist on all other internal and external HR requests as needed.

Working conditions are normal for a production-based manufacturing environment and/or logistics/distribution center/warehouse environment including exposure to changing building temperatures and noise exposure. Must be able to occasionally lift a maximum of 25 pounds unassisted, bend, stoop, reach, and climb stairs as necessary. This position involves occasional standing for up to 10 hours per day as required. Ability to deal with stress associated with meeting multiple deadlines and demands.
