Job Summary:
This highly visible position will provide general Human Resources support for all areas including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, policy interpretation, special projects, and communications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions in a pleasant and professional manner at all times.
- Provides support to Employees and Management with necessary forms, processes, employee concerns, leaves of absence, and terminations.
- Collaborate and coordinate payroll processing and benefit functions along with the Payroll/Benefit Lead as needed.
- Conducts and coordinates New Hire Orientation, as well as assists New Hires with the onboarding, payroll, and benefit process.
- Assist in the administration of FMLA, Short Term Disability, and Worker’s Compensation Claims.
- Processes employment verification requests.
- Provides monthly reports and statistics as requested.
- Assists HR staff with recruitment, administrative tasks, unemployment, and other special projects as needed.
- As a central part of the HR team, must be able to always maintain confidentiality and data integrity whether at the workplace or away from the workplace.
- Must be a self-starter, exercise follow-through and demonstrate professional initiative on any matters that come across the desk whether they are inside or outside the normal scope of the role.
- Must be computer savvy and able to navigate various computer platforms and sites with a keen attention to detail.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic and fast-paced environment as well as be able to work independently in a professional manner.
- Must adhere to the company policies, including attendance, dress code, and code of conduct.
- Must be a team player and open to be a contributing member of the team whether it is supporting HR, or any other department within our organization.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Human Resources Management or Business Administration highly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PHR or SHRM Certification preferred
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Exhibit Emotional Maturity and confidentiality
