Position Overview:
The human resources (HR) generalist is responsible for cultivating a collaborative partnership across the organization to support all human resources programs and initiatives. The HR Generalist will have a strong focus in the areas of recruitment to achieve all staffing requirements. This role will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, learning and development, employee engagement, data reporting, employee relations, policy implementation, diversity, equity and inclusion, and employment law compliance. This role will also assist with compensation, benefits programs, and other human resources initiatives within the HR team, while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. The HR generalist is a leader in terms of living the culture of HAI Group. Other responsibilities include carrying out projects and requests as delegated by the Manager, Talent Operations.
Essential Functions:
Recruitment
- Manages end-to-end recruitment process in collaboration with the Manager, Talent Operations
- Works closely with the HR Team, Executives, and managers to recruit to achieve appropriate staffing levels.
- Collaborates with HR team and managers to build effective job profiles that attract qualified talent to our open positions.
- Works within HR to maintain job descriptions, for all of our positions.
- Solid understanding of our policies, practices and culture and ability to distill our parameters to internal and external applicants and outside agencies.
- Processes requisitions for approval and posts jobs to relevant job boards, consistently monitoring applicants and providing feedback/guidance to hiring managers
- Effectively sources candidates, builds pipelines of talent, and creates relationships with third parties for timely recruitment of all open positions
- Utilizes and manages HRIS systems to disposition candidates and manage recruitment processes
- Conducts interviews and provides recommendations to hiring managers
- Coordinates interviews with hiring managers, hiring teams and candidates
- Forms partnerships with local universities and successfully recruits for annual summer internship program
- Effectively delivers job offers and creates offer packages with the ability to communicate negotiations
- Collaborates with internal partners such as IT, marketing and enterprise support to drive recruitment initiatives
- Builds rapport with external partners and staffing agencies to ensure they understand HAI Groups value proposition, talent strategy, and culture alignment
- Ensures all external recruiters comply with our EEO requirements to support best practices for diversity and inclusion.
Other Talent Operations
- Conducts all new employee onboarding efforts/exit interviews while working to continuously improve the employee life cycle
- Conducts background checks for applicants and proactively works to resolve background issues as they arise.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws, regulations, files, and current HR laws
- Works with Manager, Talent Operations and Director of HR to resolve employee relations issues; provides a supportive, consultative approach to improve work relationships and build morale
- Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations as required
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to all employees.
- Works with the Manager, Talent Operations to compile recruiting stats on Open Req’s, Applicants, Screens, Interviews, and Hires.
- Maintains employee HRIS records and personnel files.
- Partners with the Manager, Talent Operations on various HR projects and programs related to talent management (e.g. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Internship Program, Mentorship, EE0-1 Reporting, etc.)
- All other tasks as assigned in collaboration with the HR team

Job Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3+ years’ experience of professional human resources experience.
- Prior recruitment experience
- Experience using technology and social media to drive recruitment initiatives
- Able to attend networking events, career fairs and other engagements
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build/maintain professional relationships
Preferred:
- Passionate about HR and specifically, talent management
- SHRM-CP, PHR or similar certification related to human resources.
- Ability to conduct investigations
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now
