What You Will Do
The HR Coordinator supports and optimizes the processes related to hiring for Milliman’s Property & Casualty (P&C) practices. This Coordinator will collaborate with various internal teams to develop and implement onboarding plans, ensuring that each new hire feels welcomed, supported, and equipped to succeed in their new role. With knowledge of Milliman’s various internal systems, the Coordinator will ensure that all hiring and onboarding tasks are completed in advance of a new hire’s first day. They will also maintain confidential personnel records, and provide routine and ad hoc reporting as needed. In addition, there will be opportunity to get involved in campus and diversity recruiting efforts. This role is a unique opportunity to apply your people skills, creativity, and attention to detail while contributing to the growth and development of the P&C discipline within Milliman.
Responsibilities:
Upon written offer acceptance:
- Complete hiring-related required tasks in Milliman internal systems (background check, timesheet creation, data entry, etc.)
- Liaise with local IT teams to order equipment, facilitate shipment
- Assist hiring manager in designing orientation plan, ensure the new hire has a clear understanding of what is expected in their first few days at Milliman
- Connect meaningfully with the new hire, and maintain open communication with them throughout the entire onboarding process: set expectations, schedule meetings, answer questions, resolve any issues, etc.
After a new hire’s start:
- Facilitate the I-9 process
- Submit any necessary documentation
- Answer questions about Milliman’s policies, benefits, and resources
- Conduct post-hire check-in, share insights/feedback with manager and Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Make timely, accurate updates in internal HR and timesheet systems (e.g. employment status updates, promotions, offboarding tasks)
- Run reports as needed using business intelligence tools
- Organize recruiting events for the discipline such as career fairs (virtual and in-person), including set-up of presence and/or technology (e.g. Yello), coordination of participants, shipping materials, etc.
- Seek out opportunities marketing opportunities, such as sharing articles and job postings on social media
What We Are Looking For
Professional Qualifications (must have)
- One or more years of related professional experience, including internships
- Related professional experience that demonstrates keen attention to detail and an understanding of recordkeeping systems (documentation, reporting, etc.)
- Experience with HRIS and/or applicant tracking systems or technology
- Proficiency with Microsoft products such as Office and Teams
- An interest in pursuing a career in talent acquisition or human resources

Location
The expected application deadline for this job is June 1, 2024. This role is based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, Wisconsin, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the U.S.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $42,000 to $87,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc. If overall experience is more than 1 year, the range would be $42,000 to $79,000; for experience of greater than 2 years, the range would be $46,000 to $87,000. This is a fulltime, non-exempt role.
