Summary: Rogers is seeking an HR/Workers Comp Coordinator to support different facets of Human Resources and Employee Health, with a focus on managing workers compensation claims, employee safety, and other projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Handles workers’ compensation claims from start to finish, which includes entering claims, investigating incidents, and following up with the w/c carrier
- Ensures compliance with state and federal workers’ compensation laws and regulations, including reporting requirements and documentation
- Serves as a liaison between injured employees and insurance carrier to facilitate the claims process
- Participates in assessing workplace hazards with the safety team
- Develops and implements return to work programs to help injured employees’ transition back to work safely and efficiently
- Analyzes workers’ compensation trends and communicates results to stakeholders
- Collaborates with w/c carrier to provide safety education, workshops, and training for staff.
- Support other HR & Employee Health functions & projects as needed
What You’ll Need:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resource preferred
- Min of 2 years of human resource experience or related experience
- Prior workers’ compensation claim experience is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, customer focus, and strong attention to details
- Self-starter attitude; comfortable with working independently
- Must be able to use critical thinking to effectively solve problems and must possess a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Proficient with Microsoft excel
