The Human Resources Assistant reports directly to the Human Resources Director and provides day-to-day support, compliance, and accuracy in the following areas: administration of hiring, on-boarding, and employee data management. The Assistant role has primary accountability for the administration activities involved with the full employment life cycle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department that may include, but not limited to, filing, scanning, creating, tracking, and maintaining reports.
- Prepare packets for benefits enrollment and onboarding.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events and holiday parties.
- Assists in maintaining and updating job postings.
- Process new hire paperwork and onboarding of candidates
- Responding to verification of employment requests
- Processing employee badges.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
- Must exercise discretion and confidentiality when handling employee matters.
- Must be comfortable with assisting with various clerical tasks throughout the day.
- Detailed-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Bilingual
Open schedule with the requirement to work on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
