Mechanical Engineer – Addison, TX
This is an onsite position supporting our Engineering team and will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of prototype and production units covering an entire cycle from concept/detailed design to manufacturing release of products and systems.

This is an onsite position supporting our Engineering team and will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of prototype and production units covering an entire cycle from concept/detailed design to manufacturing release of products and systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the mechanical design & development of aerospace prototypes and production units.
- Detailed mechanical design work including 3D modeling, documentation, HALT testing, and support tooling/ fixtures.
- Responsible for creating 2D drawings for all associated components, assemblies, etc.
- Take a mechanical lead on specific projects following department processes and standards and ensure the design functionally meets customer requirements.
- Conceive, research, and implement engineering design changes yielding improvements in manufacturability in coordination with sustaining engineering team.
- Support marketing with drawings/renderings to facilitate presentations/proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- Seven (7) - ten (10) years of mechanical design experience utilizing sheet metal, machined parts, injection molded plastics, metal extrusions, and die casting in an aerospace or military environment.
- 3D CAD: Solid Edge – must be proficient with Solid Edge (or equivalent).
- Ability to understand/produce technical drawings and documents for internal and customer use.
- Ability to coordinate with the other discipline Engineers (EE & SE) within the department to produce multidisciplinary design solutions.
- Able to report mechanical design status on the assigned tasks whenever asked.
- Require little supervision and produce designs to specified deadlines.
- Solid communication skills in dealing with other engineers, suppliers, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with FAA/ Aerospace design requirements is a plus.
