Immediate opening for a Health Insurance Information Specialist. After successfully completing onsite training of approximately 60-90 work days this becomes a remote position with a set schedule of 7:30AM - 1:00PM Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and manage patient data and billing information
- Verify insurance coverage
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies and errors
- Maintain accurate billing records and stay up-to-date with regulations
- Assist with training staff and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a certification from the AAPC is beneficial.
- 3+ years of medical office, billing, or Health Insurance experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology, and insurance procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with large amounts of data
- Proficiency in medical billing software and tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and government agencies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
