The Technology Sourcing Team collaborates with technology professionals across the Walt Disney Company to improve the value of our media investments by assessing opportunities, staying abreast of industry trends, creatively crafting deals that deliver value across the enterprise, and improving the way we do business with our partners.
What You Will Do
As the Sourcing Specialist, Enterprise Technology Sourcing the focus of this role is to work with technology partners from each segment to make smart sourcing decisions in selecting technologies & other service providers to maximize value in technology investments and mitigate risks through smart contract negotiations.
Responsibilities
- Support AOP initiatives through each TWDC Segment with focus on sub-category plans, communication, spend influence, and value generation/savings/ROI
- Support projects/RFP’s/Pitches from source to contract
- Contribute to the annual operating plans (AOP) for the Technology Sourcing Team and deliver against any targets set jointly by Technology Sourcing and the business segments
- Ensure consistent application of sourcing processes across constituent groups
- Facilitate, monitor, and report performance measures that demonstrate value and ensure supplier performance
- Build and manage relationships with key Segment/Functional points of contact to ensure understanding and support for sourcing & procurement initiatives
- Track and report savings, spending compliance and variances and communicate results as appropriate with the Manager, Director, Enterprise Sourcing and selected partners
- Perform supplier performance reviews and supplier compliance audits in conjunction with the business as appropriate
- Build/establish strategic relationships with key suppliers
- Provide rigorous cost and market analysis focusing on the total cost of ownership
- Develop and execute a clear strategy for structured negotiations
- Drive internal skill/capability development to broaden and build staff skill sets
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of strategic sourcing experience

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a technology sourcing related role or function
- Experience with SAP or other ERP
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
Preferred Education
- Master’s Degree/MBA
- CPM, CIRM, CPIM, chips, or similar certifications preferred
The hiring range for this position in Seattle Wa., is $86,700 to $108,300 per year and in Burbank, Ca., is $84,600 to $103,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
