Job OverviewThe BI Developer II partners with their assigned department heads to gather business requirements, design, build and deploy various BI Solutions, focusing on automating systems and processes to develop operating efficiencies and enhance current capabilities. This role should help define governance and work within agreed-upon governance; develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses. The Developer creates documentation and provides training and support to business leaders as needed, with an emphasis on data integrity and accuracy

- Develops, builds, designs, and deploys business solutions, while maintaining advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using tools available in the landscape including and not limited to Tableau, PowerBI, Webi, Analysis for Office, Alteryx, Snowflake, SAP Hana, SQL Management Studio
- Develops and executes database queries and performs and documents data analysis, data validation, data mapping, design, produce data samples, prototypes and produce ad-hoc reports. Obtain and analyze data by accessing multiple sources and data warehouses. Demonstrate strong SQL skills to enable agile data analysis and data preparation for front end BI implementation
- Maintains business intelligence models to design, develop and generate both standard, ad-hoc reports, and automated reports
- Looks for ways to streamline report generation and provide business leaders with resources to enable informed decision making, including self-service tools that enable users to analyze data through many business dimensions with visibility to granular and historical data
- Identifies and resolves data reporting issues in a timely fashion, while looking for continuous improvement opportunities. Troubleshoots and performs root cause analysis on systems issues, across platforms and systems to ensure quick service restoration of problems
- Coordinates with Business Analysts and customers to develop and define business requirements and specifications documents for defined problems; coordinates business plan for achieving desired outcomes, while having an understanding of department objectives
- Partners with the BI Lead in developing and executing project plans within the assigned schedule and timeline
