Black Diamond Coatings is a leading manufacturer of home improvement products, including cleaners, sealers, and polymeric sand. Our Brands are DOMINATOR, AQUA-X and OBSESS. We are looking for a Graphic Designer who can bring their expertise and creativity to our team. You will be responsible for producing visually compelling designs across various platforms, including print, digital, and social media. Your experience in product packaging and marketing will be highly valuable as you create designs that stand out on the shelf and effectively communicate product benefits.

You will be instrumental in helping us to maintain a consistent visual identity across all channels while adhering to brand voice and guidelines. As a successful candidate, you will be a Master of Design principles, color theory, typography, and layout design. You will have a keen understanding of the psychology of advertising and know how to create designs that effectively communicate with potential customers. You will be an expert in Adobe Creative Suite and have experience in designing for advertising and marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

· Collaborate to create new “stop-the-scroll” concepts.

· Create premium label designs that stand out to our customers online and on the shelf, clearly conveying the key differentiators of the product versus competitors.

· Prepare, package and spec files for print/web, working closely with external teams and vendors (i.e., proofing, color-matching, and approving for print)

· Generate ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services.

· Manage all the pieces of design projects to ensure that results are delivered on time and meets company brand standards.

· Sketch and create mood boards.

· Prepare artwork renders for presentations.

· Create visually impactful presentation deliverables; may require research summaries, sketches, user scenarios, renderings, different media options, mocked up graphics on appearance models.

· Provide graphics for blog posts, etc.

· Research and be a thought leader for graphic design best practices.

Success Traits:

· Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Creative Arts or Graphic Design.

· 5+ years in Digital/Graphic design with experience creating physical product packaging.

· Must have a strong portfolio that exemplifies a broad range of concept development & execution for both digital & print.

· Attention to visual details.

· Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, can be scrappy, creative & resourceful while also building structure and process.

· Experienced developing brand guidelines and other overarching brand materials.

· Must ensure the level of excellence in all creative work designed & executed is consistent, cohesive and meets brand strategy.

· Must be an all-around figure-it-outer.

· Must be a self-starter, proactive and organized.

· Must develop a deep understanding of our customer base, product line and brand as a whole.

· Must be open to feedback & able to take art direction.

· Must have strong research skills.

· Must have strong knowledge of current design trends.

· Proficiency in Adobe CS Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and AI. 3D rendering is a plus.

· Detail-oriented and project management skills to drive products through a product launch process

· Good sense of branding and creative.

· Adept at communicating effectively to a variety of audiences.

· Willing to take initiative and ownership of problems to find solutions.

· Uses critical thinking skills to analyze data, understand what may be driving positive or negative results, and develop creative solutions.

· Loves all the ways to learn about digital marketing – from webinars to podcasts – is always looking for how to improve.

· Copywriting experience is a plus.
