Assistant Salon Manager, Ouidad New York Flagship Salon
Responsibilities:
Salon Operations/Support/Floor Management
Support front of house operations including support of front desk, inventory management, administrative support, marketing initiatives such as social media and promotions. Responsible for knowing and implementing all opening/closing procedures; key-holder. Support Salon by being a team player with sweeping, towels, serving guests while Assistants/Stylists are on break or
absent, and willing to step up / in as needed to keep the flow of business going. Master the Envision POS System for managing Salon function and client data. Manage client database by keeping client information up to date. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams a plus.
Customer Service
Ensure the highest level of customer service as the face of the Salon and front of house support. Retain clients through building positive relationships and creating a luxury environment that exceeds Ouidad’s standards of excellence. Answer daily phone calls and book appointments as needed in support of front desk. Quickly and efficiently respond to inquiries from clients and customer service as needed. Analyze and resolve customer concerns using established Ouidad procedures and policies. Organize and track all complaints. Send newsletters to client base about promotions or Salon updates. Live in a solutions mindset. Ensure that the Ouidad brand is aligned and consistent with corporate byway of product knowledge, Salon policies, procedures, and overall messaging.
Management
Assist Salon Manager and Salon Management team. Be a resource for Stylists, Associates, & Assistants. Support in training, and onboarding new team members as needed in conjunction with Salon Manager. Be aware of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual service / retail sales of Salon and Stylists. Be able to communicate the financial health of business, serving as a bridge between Salon Floor and Management. Support Manager of Flagship Salons & Director of Business Development in the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Salon and Staff as a unified Salon Management Team. Assist in the support of our Associate Program with Education Manager. Communicate regularly on staff/client issues, weekly task list, and other on-going projects. Send out staff communications, including but not limited to goals, reminders, upcoming meetings, and all-staff events. Ensure Staff/Stylist adherence to salon policies and company procedures. Attend corporate company meetings, as needed, to stay in the know of companywide updates.
