Junior Graphic / Digital Designer

Please note this is a part time freelance position. Initial hours for this role will fluctuate; please estimate 8-10 hours per week to start. Note this is intended to be an ongoing role with an increase in hours. Candidates need to be available for internal and client meetings Monday - Friday from 9am-5pm CST. Rate starting at $40 per hour or project flat rates.

Location near St. Petersburg, FL or Tampa, FL preferred for some in-person meetings, but we will look at remote candidates as well.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing creative thinking, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, a firm understanding of design principles, excellent communication skills, and a desire to grow in the field of graphic design and brand marketing.

Although the role is primarily digital design and supporting tasks, it will include a wider scope including non-digital, creative, and marketing support tasks.

Seeking candidates who can:

• Bring a positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Work independently as well as in partnership with the account director, art director, and team
• Attend online internal and client meetings during business hours

Mandatory Design & Personal Skills

• Strong creative thinking, graphic design, and typography skills demonstrated in your portfolio
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Ability to meet all internal/external deadlines
• Ability to take constructive feedback and make revisions as necessary
• Ability to adapt time used for different types of projects and budgets
• Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and design

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
• Prior use of Microsoft Suite
• Knowledge of web standards, optimization, and web design best practices
• Basic understanding of WordPress for content changes and updates

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

• Experience in both B2B & B2C
• Animation skills
• Video editing skills
• Experience using AI
• SEO knowledge
• Illustration capabilities
