2. Participates in design and production of collateral for communication campaigns, handling budgeting and scheduling, and assisting with such responsibilities as design development, production coordination, and progress tracking. This may include social media-quality photo and video capture.
3. Confers with clients to articulate communication objectives, budget, background information, and presentation approaches, styles, and techniques.
4. Develops briefings, brochures, graphics for web pages, promotional materials, illustrations, and computer artwork for use in print and display materials.
5. Researches illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of materials.
6. Creates designs, concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
7. Prepares illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients or supervisors and making necessary changes.
8. Directs photo shoots and printing sessions to ensure that the products needed are obtained.
9. Develops graphics and layouts for product illustrations, logos, and Web sites.
10. Draws and prints charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork, using computer.
11. Uses computer software to generate new images.
12. Keys information into computer equipment to create layouts for client or supervisor.
13. Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and selects style and size of type.
14. Marks up and assembles comps for printer.
15. May prepare detailed storyboards showing sequence and timing of story development for video production.
16. Completes other projects as assigned.
17. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
1. Advanced knowledge of standard Adobe Suite.
2. Graphic Design - Thorough knowledge of graphic design techniques, tools, and principles.
3. Communications and Media - Thorough knowledge of media production, visual, verbal, and interactive communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and persuade via written, oral, and visual media.
4. English Language - General knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
5. Fine Arts - General knowledge of the theory and techniques required to compose, produce, and perform design work.
6. Computers and Electronics - Thorough knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
7. Customer and Personal Service - General knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of user satisfaction.
8. Marketing - General knowledge of principles and methods for describing and promoting programs and services in order to achieve desired outcomes.
