The Enterprise Compensation team is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that support corporate clients, as well as all functional organizations of The Walt Disney Company, including: Human Resources, Finance, Technology, Legal, Strategic Planning, Direct-to-Consumer, Disney Entertainment, and other areas. These organizations are enablers of our world-class businesses, and span across all businesses and geographies. In this work, the Enterprise Compensation team partners with other human resource functions to develop solutions that attract, retain, and motivate top talent for these organizations globally.
As part of the Enterprise Compensation team, the Compensation Consultant provides guidance to assigned internal clients and collaborates with HR partners in the planning, development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that support the company’s business strategy. The Compensation Consultant also partners with the global, regional, and local HR/Compensation community to aide in the delivery of compensation initiatives/policies/processes for functional organizations that span across the Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete rate quotes for promoted and newly hired employees
- Provide systems support for incoming Workday action items
- Collaborate with HR partners (e.g. Talent Acquisition, HR Service Center, HR Business Partners) and clients on daily compensation-related matters
- Evaluate, level, and determine the market value for new and existing jobs
- Generate, review, and audit various job and pay-related reports
- Support compensation team in administering the annual merit increase, bonus, and long-term incentive programs
- Perform compensation benchmark assessments and update related systems
- Assist in creating, applying, and maintaining salary structures and hiring ranges
Requirements / Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience, preferably in Human Resources, Business, Finance or equivalent
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to varying audiences
- Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration
- Business-oriented mindset
- Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Workday, SAP, and/or compensation planning systems preferred
The hiring range for this position in California is $84,600.00 to $103,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
