OCCUPANCY
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a beginning level of technical work involving a variety of functions in taking of applications for several apartments and managing the waiting list. Duties involve verification of income, assisting applicants and tenants with completing forms, data entry, rent calculation, records management, filing, answering the phone and assisting leasing agents with waiting list, filing of forms and inspections. Assist with mobile re-certifications, taking rent payments.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Assist in a wide variety of duties in occupancy Department have good tenant relations, verifying rent payments, processing applications, run vacancy list, keeping up with applicat waiting list numbers, maintaining tenant files, entering tenant data, making up second file folders, helping the re-cert team get paperwork signed or run copies. Making personal telephone contact with residents, applicants and agencies, taking applications, and verifying applicant information.
Use of personal vehicle for necessary travel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Some knowledge of office etiquette, working with others and customer service.
Ability to secure and analyze facts and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions.
Ability to assist co-workers with paperwork , team player.
Ability to plan and organize the management of housing authority records and reports.
Ability to learn, interpret, and administer rules, regulations, and procedures relating to property management or housing authority administration.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, subordinates, residents, other agencies, and the general public.
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally, and in writing.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
Meet the minimum experience and training requirements of: working in an Retail office or business office, answering phones logging data and dealing with people.

One (1) year of experience in comparable business, industrial, or professional employment;
- or –
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
SUPERVISION:
Under the direct supervision Director of Housing Management
