This National Guard position is for a Aircraft Electrician, Position Description Number PDD1369000 and is part of the WY 153rd Maintenance Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard.

Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to analyze malfunctions, troubleshoot, repair, install, maintain, test, inspect, and modify the electrical/environmental systems and other systems on and/or off aircraft.
(1) Performs maintenance, inspects, modifies, tests, services, troubleshoots, isolates malfunctions, and repairs the aircraft electrical/environmental systems and other aircraft systems.
(2) Provides technical advice and troubleshooting expertise to other work centers as needed when electrical or environmental systems affect the aircraft systems such as radar, weapons release, navigation, communication, instruments, flight controls, pneudraulics, fuel or other systems/subsystems.
(3) Provides on-the-job training to lower graded personnel or to newly assigned personnel regardless of grade.
(4) Requisitions, processes, and accounts for supply assets as required by the repairable processing system.
(5) Complies with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations and ensures that material and equipment are properly stored, protected, maintained and secured.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Primary consideration will be given to current WY ANG military members.
Must become a member of the Wyoming ANG before appt.
Must submit vMPF Rip/Data Verification Rip with application.

Must possess at least the minimum ASVAB score listed for Qualification.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
Indefinite position may convert to Perm if funding/position is available.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.

Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).

Qualifications
AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:
Primary consideration will be made from Areas 2 and 4. If referrals are not made from either of the target categories, subsequent referrals may next be made from Area 6 (if eligible).
Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (NG) Title 5 and T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Title 5 employee's must be eligible to convert to T32 Dual Status.
Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 6: Current and prior service military members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess experience or training which has provided a knowledge and skill in locating and tying in the electrical systems with the aircraft armament, electronics, and instrument systems; adjusting and calibrating the components of the various electrical systems; reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
WG-08: Must possess experience or training in installing, maintaining and repairing aircraft electrical systems. Experience which demonstrates the ability to diagnose and determine repairs. Experience in the use of common hand tools and measuring equipment. Experience which provided ability to lay out, set up and perform operations dependent on electrical and electronic theory and instruments.
WG-10: Must possess experience or training installing, maintaining, repairing and modifying electrical systems and major substation components of electrical system. Experience diagnosing malfunctions and determining remedy when complex relationships exist among different electrical system circuits requiring knowledge of all electrical units and systems. Experience making electrical repairs that require the use of precision measuring equipment and common hand tools. Experience in the setup and operation of computerized multiple circuit analyzing equipment in manual, semiautomatic, or automatic mode to run existing and new (not fully debugged) diagnostic programs to test and analyze aircraft electrical circuitry and interconnecting cabling of systems such as navigational computers, radar, and related equipment and to repair discrepancies.
NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.
COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS:
Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2A6X6, Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems.

Must possess a minimum score of "41" on the Mechanical portion AND "61" on the Electrical of the ASVAB.
