This is a hybrid role, local to the Austin, TX area.
Owls in this role will provide administrative support to CEOwl and COOwl.
- Management of complex calendar and scheduling requirements across multiple teams in varying time zones and locations, proactively resolving any scheduling conflicts
- Manage domestic and international travel
- Handle executive needs to ensure priorities are organized
- Organize, execute, and assist with Owlchemy’s team activities including preparing staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, off-sites, team social events
- Coordination of partner and visitor activities including reserving meeting spaces, booking catering needs, and ensuring any required documentation/agendas are completed
- Assist with the copy editing, asset gathering, deployment and organization of presentations and documents
- Track and help drive completion of contracts including follow up on outstanding items
- Serve as a point of contact for operations projects and vendors
- Serve as a point of contact with external partners and IT
- Manage business general inquiries
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across a variety of disciplines and levels
- Operates at a high degree of professionalism
- Exceptional at organizing themselves and others, strong attention to detail, time management, multitasking and able to prioritize for themselves and others
- Can problem solve and troubleshoot through logistic and organizational challenges
- Extensive knowledge of G Suite, JIRA, Trello, and Slack
- Basic knowledge of IT terminology and concepts
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3+ years experience as an EA in the Tech or Game Development space
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 2+ years of VR, Gaming, or software development industry experience
- Appreciation of puns (or at least the ability to groan at them)
Physical Requirements:
- Owls must be able to use virtual reality headsets but are not expected to own one.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a hybrid full-time, 40-hours per week position. Core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In-person time will be required for certain responsibilities and events.
Travel:
This position will be approximately 25% travel local to Austin, TX and approximately 5 weeks of travel per year outside of Austin, TX. Aspects of this position will include handling duties at the Owlchemy Studio in Austin, TX.
