Job Title: Executive Assistant/Project Manager

TNFC is a faith-based nonprofit whose mission is to make a transformative change in the Michigan Foster Care system and a measurable and meaningful impact in the lives of youth who have experienced foster care. TNFC’s mission is accomplished through partnering with the State and local agencies to develop, fund, and implement innovative pilot programs; researching and advancing policy and legislative action in the best interests of Michigan’s children; and providing direct service programs that change the trajectory of youth with experience in foster care.
Job Summary: The Executive Assistant is responsible for successfully managing the schedule, tasks, and communications for the Executive Director. They will also assist with driving projects forward and will act as a liaison between the staff and the Executive Director. The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and will be resourceful, innovative, and proactive to support their executive leaders. They will think independently to make decisions under pressure and will have exceptional communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Experience, and Licensure:
· 3-5 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant, Project Coordinator/Manager, or similar role, preferably in a non-profit setting.
· 3 years’ experience in child welfare or related field is preferred but not required.
· Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage the Executive Director’s calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing sensitive matters.
· Provide administrative assistance, such as writing and editing emails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the Executive Director’s behalf.
· Manage multiple concurrent projects while exhibiting strong time management skills.
· Organize team communications and plan events, both internal and external.
· Ensure effective operations through internal processes and filing systems.
· Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems and recording meeting discussions.
· Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information.
· Ensure The New Foster Care services and initiatives are operated and implemented in an effective, client focused environment.
· Coordinate all necessary documentation, reports, and analyses for Executive Staff and/or Administration as required.
· Recommend and develop new processes, or enhance existing processes as needed.
· Enhance team culture and act as a liaison to streamline communication between staff and the Executive Director.
· Computer Skills: extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and an aptitude for learning new software and systems.
. Provide reception duties including answering phone and greeting clients.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and/or executive leaders.
Additional Work Requirements:
. Valid unrestricted driver's license, with proof of current registration and automobile insurance; reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting program participants required.
Youth with experience in foster care often face a challenging path to success as they transition to adulthood. We provide direct services to such youth through our 'Bridge Program', a comprehensive transitional support model serving young people ages 14 to 29. Youth enrolled in our program are assigned a Multisystemic Navigator who assists them to develop and implement a sustainable plan for their future success along five transition domains: employment and career, educational opportunity, living situation, community life functioning, and personal effectiveness and wellbeing.
