Estimator Project Manager

Cross General Contracting is seeking candidates for an Estimator / Project Management Position

Applicants should be ready to tackle commercial and light industrial construction projects from bidding through job closeout.  Must be experienced taking plans and specifications to identify project cost, then work with senior management to develop a proposal for the prospective client.  Upon project award, the applicant should be ready to manage project(s) to include commodity procurement, construction, safety, progress billings, subcontractor management, track job costs, and drive project schedule. 

Prospective Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator / Project Manager.  Candidates should be highly motivated with a passion for problem solving and empowering others to perform to the highest standard.  We expect our colleagues to value fairness and honesty over profits.  We are looking for someone who is ready to adapt to ever-changing business environments by having a willingness to consider other ideas, be objective while evaluating means and methods, and have enthusiasm to help us set ourselves apart from the rest.   We expect the applicant will hold the safety and well-being of our labor pool as the highest priority as they are the key asset that makes us successful.    

The candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Office products.  Additionally, the candidate must be proficient using PDF document software such as the Adobe product line.  Candidates must also participate in client progress meetings to discuss all aspects of the project, effectively communicate issues, and drive resolutions.  Candidates who demonstrate an understanding of design, estimating, value engineering, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, billing, and subcontract negotiations will shoot to the head of the line.
