About the Role and the Department
The Email Marketer Contractor will oversee our email efforts over 6 months. The Email Marketer will be responsible for producing and executing all emails, including ad-hoc and triggered emails in Hubspot and Active Campaign. This role is fully remote.
We anticipate the first-month ramp-up will take about 10 hours per week, and then hours will shift to about 5 per week. However, this work will be spiky and require someone to be slightly flexible with their hours, which we will cap at no more than 20 hours per week in month 1 and 10 hours per week in the following months.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role you must meet most of the following needs:
- Responsible for the development of Active Campaign emails
- Produce and execute all emails, including coding responsive HTML templates, campaigns, ad-hoc and triggered emails
- Implement best practices for email marketing, including optimizing for deliverability and engagement.
- QA emails across multiple email clients to ensure accuracy, deliverability, and optimal UX
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to email campaigns
- Implement tracking codes and analytics tags to measure the effectiveness of email campaigns.
- Provide analytics reporting on emails and make recommendations to continually optimize
- Segment and manage email lists for campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing, Web Development, or a related field
- 3 years of hands-on experience using Mail Chimp, Hubspot or Active Campaign
- Solid project management and ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation: $30 hourly rate, payable in semi-monthly payments to be agreed upon at contract signing. This is a part-time position and does not include healthcare benefits.
