Manager, Email Marketing

Goodwin, the leading law firm serving clients at the busy intersection of capital and innovation, is seeking a Manager, Email Marketing ("Manager") to lead the Email Marketing team. Reporting to the Director, Marketing Technology & Operations, this individual is expected to manage the Email Marketing calendars, assign work to team as bandwidth is available and be an excellent communicator to all colleagues on the status of all Email Marketing initiatives. As the owner of the Marketing email tool, this individual will need to realize the investment in the tool, optimizing the system to allow the team to work efficiently in the tool, create ease of connecting metrics to the greater digital story. This individual will identify additional tools needed to provide better insights into the performance of the email channel, this could include email rendering tools, inbox placement tools, email validation tools, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing the team which executes all email communications for Goodwin
• Own the Email Marketing tool, roll out additional functionality the tool offers as sees fit
• Managing staff to make sure all Email Marketing messages get out in a timeline fashion.
• Rolling up his/her sleeves to step in if need to build email creative, test and get emails approved.
• Optimize and own the email creation/qa process
• Work with the greater Marketing Operations and Technology team for connected email metrics
• Providing guidance on email best practice including ways to increase engagement, adjustments to audience list, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, and language usage, as well as standard business correspondence formatting.
• Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent proof reading skills
• Strong computer skills, including web-based research and Microsoft Office Suite 2010.
• Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Ability to develop and foster successful, working relationships with legal and professional staff while providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• HTML knowledge
• Basic Adobe Photoshop editing
• Working technical knowledge of Email tools such as Vuture, Constant Contact, Mailchimp, Marketo or Pardot

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in an Email Marketing professional role preferably in large corporate environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Schedule: Standard office hours; occasional evening/weekend work
• Physical requirements: Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time, must be able to use a computer and accompanying office machines
