Background in one of the following forms of litigation preferred:
- Music litigation
- Media/entertainment litigation
- Right of Privacy/Publicity litigation
- Defamation litigation
- IP litigation
- Breach of Contract Litigation
- Employment litigation
- Shareholder/partnership litigation
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
- Conduct legal research, analyze case law, and prepare for court appearances.
- Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
- Consult with clients to understand their specific legal needs and goals.
- Provide legal advice and develop litigation strategies tailored to the client's objectives.
- Manage the discovery process, including document production, depositions, and witness interviews.
- Conduct thorough investigations to gather evidence and build a strong case.
- Engage in settlement negotiations when appropriate, aiming to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal opinions.
- Maintain strong and professional relationships with clients.
- Keep clients informed about case developments and progress.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Judicial clerkship experience a plus
- CA Bar Admission and in good standing with CA State Bar
- Experience in Federal & State Courts
- 4 yrs Minimum of Experience
