QUALIFICATIONS: Administrative Assistant must be able to communicate well with staff and community members, have the ability to work independently, perform general office duties, organize and maintain official documents, give attention to detail, maintain confidentiality, enjoy preschool age children, and multi-task well.
This is a 12-month position. The normal workday will be 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., however, applicant must be willing to be flexible when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- The ability to operate Microsoft Word, Excel, Google, and Skyward Student Data Base.
- Registration and residency verification for students.
- Maintaining student data, health records, and attendance for students.
- Preparing and submitting school/district reports to the State of Illinois in a timely manner.
- Preparing and processing purchase orders for the district.
- Assist Superintendent with organizing and maintaining records for the monthly Board of Education meetings.
- Update and maintain required handbooks, training, forms, and rosters for staff each year.
- Process FOIA requests in a timely manner.
- Assist Special Services Director with various duties as needed.
