Job Description
- Strong computer skills and experience with record keeping.
- Minimum of two years experience working with young children. (preferred)
- Clerical experience a licensed child-care center (preferred).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the Texas Health and Human Services Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers and licensing requirements (preferred).
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks, work under timelines, prioritize as additional needs arise.
- Communicate effectively and clearly with parents, staff and administrators in both verbal and written form.
- Assist in providing developmentally appropriate resources and materials to support staff in accomplishing educational goals.
- Compile and maintain filing of all physical and computerized staff and student files, reports, records and other documents required by the district and state licensing.
- Assist Site Supervisor in assuring consistent compliance with Texas Minimum Standards and licensing requirements.
- Complete a minimum of 24 hours of professional development annually.
- Serve as the Supervisor in Charge in the absence of Child Director.
- Understand and show respect for confidentiality of children, parents and other staff.
- Help closing the building.
- May assist with bus driving (21+ years of age requirement).
- May help assist in classrooms as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 21 years
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a childcare facility.
