We are currently looking for a Front Office Assistant. The ideal candidate will help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the company as well as assisting the clinical staff with tasks they need done. This person should be organized, hard-working, and work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment as well as be able to multi-task effectively. This position has potential growth, so the candidate should display the desire to advance within our organization and be prepared to transition accordingly.
Job Type:
Full-time (40 hours), normally scheduled as 8-hour workdays, Monday - Friday; however, additional hours may be required due to increase in workload, assignment, and completion of special projects. Must be flexible if required to work long or irregular hours.
General duties include, but are not limited to:
- Answering incoming phone calls
- Checking patients in & out
- Scheduling and confirming appointments for patients
- Collecting payments
- Checking insurance benefits via phone or website
- Assisting billing specialist with data entry
- Variety of other clerical task such as filing, copying, and organizing paperwork
- Keeping the reception area clean and neat
- Maintaining office inventory, restocking items and making note of inventory shortages when needed.
- Assisting with special projects as needed
Skills/Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills(working with patients to exceed their expectations)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills(proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Organized, self-directed and detail oriented
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Team player attitude
- Comfortable working with a wide demographic of individuals
- Comfortable in handling other administrative and cleaning duties
- Strong creativity skills
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in a physical therapy clinic or other medical office preferred, but not required
- Formal qualification in office administration, secretarial work, or related training.
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required; college preferred
- Basic knowledge medical terminology and insurances are a plus.

$15-$17 per hour (based on experience)
