Akiba Yavneh Academy is a vibrant co-educational college preparatory Jewish day school of 450 students from the early childhood years through the 12th grade. Although the school began sixty years ago, AYA is completing the first year of a major transformation to radically improve education outcomes and cost efficiency. In many ways, AYA will be a new school with a new model that seeks to set the standard for excellence and affordability in Jewish day school education.
AYA is seeking a Chief Operating Officer who will change the competency and cost structure of the school by implementing a high-performing and cost-effective back office that advances the school’s educational mission. This leadership role will oversee all functions related to finance, HR, and operations, including but not limited to, technology, security, and the maintenance and beautification of an 8-acre state-of-the-art campus. The role requires a leader comfortable with both management and hands-on execution.
This is an opportunity to build a back-office model that impacts the larger field of Jewish day school education for someone who has proven they can build and manage operational teams with maximal efficiency and effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Energized by the educational mission of the school
Two or more years of operational leadership experience in a small-to-medium-sized business, nonprofit, or school
Experience with budget planning, budget management, and financial reporting
Experience working in a fast-growth organization preferred
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Salary range: ~$160,000 commensurate with experience + bonus potential
