Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity;
- Collaborate with the HR team to identify opportunities for HRIS process improvements and system optimization;
- Assist in implementing and configuring HRIS modules and functionalities as needed;
- Generate regular and ad-hoc HRIS reports for HR and management analysis;
- Assist in preparing HR-related reports, such as headcount, turnover, and benefits utilization, for internal and external purposes;
- Create routine audit schedule for various HR related compliance and organizational purposes (ex. I9, agent ID, benefits, etc.)
- Accurately responding to employee inquiries about benefits and timekeeping in a timely fashion;
- Processing and maintaining all benefits enrollments, including following up with employees who have not completed their forms and processing life change events in a timely fashion;
- Ensuring correct deductions for benefits are noted in the employees' payroll records;
- Assisting with the open enrollment process;
- Ensuring PTO is tracked accurately;
- Processing required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions;
- Comparing monthly bills to employee benefits enrollments to ensure accuracy;
- Maintaining accurate ACA records for employees throughout the year, and completing ACA year end process to ensure accurate delivery of annual government forms;
- Maintaining and tracking accurate leave records including fmla, ada, etc.;
- Administering COBRA notification paperwork, and terminating employees from relevant benefit programs when they leave the company.
- Assist the HR Department in the employee onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for new hires;
- Assisting with facilitating the completion of onboarding paperwork and assist with new hire orientations;
- Contributing to HR projects and initiatives as needed;
- Assisting with tracking and supporting the facilitation of annual evaluations, focus groups, action plans, exit interviews, stay interviews.
- Collaborating with team members to create a positive and inclusive culture for employees;
- Supporting HR team with creation and administration of employee wellness programs;
- Supporting HR team with creation and administration of company diversity initiatives;
- Collaborating across departments to ensure consistent messaging and treatment of employees.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to obtain a Missouri Agent ID by start date;
- Must be 21 years of age or older;
- At least 1 year of experience in HRIS management and/or benefits administration;
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management;
- Proficient in using HRIS software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle employee inquiries professionally and confidentially;
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements preferred;
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred;
- HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) are a plus but not required.
Environment
This position requires the ability to work seated for several hours at a time and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally. Some filing is required. The work environment is an air-conditioned, smoke-free, office environment within a warehouse that produces cannabis products. The constant exposure to cannabis particulates can be expected within this environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This position may require travel up to 20% of the time between our facility and retail locations.
